Important Gods and Goddesses:
- Jupiter was the most powerful of all of the gods, he wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. He was the king of all of the gods and his word was the last word and everybody went with his word.
- Juno was the wife of Jupiter and which therefore meant that she was the Queen.She watched over all of the women of Rome.
- Neptune was the brother of Jupiter and he was the god of the sea. He was very powerful and could get quite moody. People were afraid of him.
- Pluto was another of Jupiter's brothers, he was the god of the underworld.
- Mars was the son of Jupiter, he was the god of war. He wasn't very liked because he was tall and handsome but also very cruel and vain.
- Mercury was Jupiter's son and the messenger of the gods. . The job of messenger to the gods allowed Mercury to have the inside scoop on just about everything. The other gods trusted him.- Apollo was Jupiter's son and god of the sun, light and music.
- Diana was goddess of the hunt and Apollo's twin sister. She was cold and ruthless and wasn't loved by many people. She loved her hunting dogs, though. They loved her too.
- Minerva, the goddess of wisdom, she was extremely smart. She was a daughter of Jupiter and if he had to chose a favourite child it would be her
- Vesta was the goddess of hearth and home, and Juno's sister. Juno, queen of the gods, watched over Roman women. Vesta watched over their homes and children.
- Bacchus was the god of wine and civilisation. Some gods could turn into other things. This was called shape shifting. Bacchus had the power of shape shifting. He could be a fierce lion one minute, and a handsome young man the next.
- Ceres was the goddess of the harvest, and Juno's other sister.
- Venus was the goddess of love and beauty. Venus was a nice god, he only caused havoc accidentally, or if you did something that angered her.
